Frequently Asked Questions
Aren't these just templates?
They are templates, and we are upfront about that. The difference is who wrote them. Every document in the catalogue is written by a qualified HSEQ consultant against the model WHS legislation and the relevant Australian Standards, with the analysis method and control logic already built. What is blank is blank deliberately: the site-specific detail that only you can know.
Can you complete it for me?
Yes, two ways. We can draft the document for you from your photographs, manuals and scope, or we can run a completion session where a consultant works through your templates with you against your actual site.
Why do you issue documents as drafts rather than approved?
Because the approval has to be yours. The duty to manage risk sits with the Person Conducting a Business or Undertaking and cannot be transferred. You verify the document against your workplace, consult your workers, and approve it under your own authority. That is what makes it defensible.
Do you come to my site?
Yes. We complete building risk assessments, safety audits and inspections and worker training on site throughout Queensland. Document sales themselves are delivered remotely.
Will this satisfy my principal contractor or my client?
The documents are structured to meet the requirements of the model Work Health and Safety Regulations and the relevant Australian Standards. Whether a document satisfies a specific principal contractor depends on their prequalification requirements. If you send us their requirements we can draft against them as a bespoke job.
Will this satisfy a regulator?
A document alone never satisfies a regulator. What satisfies a regulator is a workplace where the risks are actually controlled, supported by documentation showing how you got there. The document is evidence of your process, not a substitute for it.
How long does it take?
Templates are emailed within one business day of purchase. Documents drafted for you take five business days from receipt of complete information.
What file formats do I get?
Editable Microsoft Word and locked Portable Document Format (PDF).
Can I put my own logo on it?
Yes. The Word version is fully editable and your licence expressly permits rebranding for internal use.
What if my plant is modified after I complete a risk assessment?
Any modification, alteration, addition or change of use voids the assessment. Update and re-verify the document, record the change in the revision history, or engage us to reassess.
How often should I review my documents?
At least annually, and immediately upon any change to the plant, activity, workplace, or the applicable legislation and standards.
Which states do your documents cover?
Documents are written to the model Work Health and Safety Act and Regulations, which apply in the Commonwealth, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, Western Australia, the Australian Capital Territory and the Northern Territory. Victoria operates under the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004 and Regulations 2017, which differ. Check before relying on a document in Victoria, or ask us.
Who actually writes these?
Qualified HSEQ personnel. See the About page for credentials.
